What makes this so different from the rest of the plastic kayak crowd?

• For starters it is sort of a cross between a ocean racing surf ski and an Olympic flat water kayak.
• It is very narrow in the bow which allow you to start your paddle rotation closer to the centerline and makes for a much smaller bow wave to climb over.
• Waterline length of the Eliminator is long for its overall length (no wasted overhangs).
• It has a Olympic kayak adjustable seat.
• It has adjustable hinged rudder pedals like a "Valhalla" surf ski.
• It has a on the fly adjustable self-draining footwell.
• In front of the rudder pedals is a small hatch with a "cat bag" for your car keys.
• The Eliminator is tipper than any of the other plastic sit-on-tops but faster!
• The Eliminator is more stable than a racing fiberglass surf ski but a bit slower.

As in most cases to get speed you give up stability. This holds true for the Eliminator as well. If we use the popular Ocean Kayak "Scupper Pro" as a marker for both speed and stability on one end and the Valhalla "Victory Special" on the other end it would look like this:

Important Note: This kayak was designed for lightweight paddlers. If you weigh more than 185 pounds I would forget it and look for a life guard spec ski like a Valhalla Viking International. The Eliminator performs really good for paddlers under 160 pounds. It doable for 160 to 185 pound paddler but at a performance penality. More than 185 pounds is a waste of time as the boat gains rocker and submerges too much of the hull. I strongly recommend this as a first "fast" kayak to paddlers under 160 pounds.
